Day of Action

June 21

« All Events

Are you a changemaker in your community looking for a way to get involved this summer? If so, join United Way for Day of Action. This celebration is an opportunity for people and organizations across the globe to take action to address various community challenges.

Each year, on and around June 21, tens of thousands of people in hundreds of communities worldwide come together for United Way’s Day of Action. It’s a global volunteering event where people can take a small step to make a big difference. For some, it’s stuffing backpacks full of books to encourage reading and improve early literacy. For others, planting community gardens fosters civic pride and promotes affordable, healthy eating. For United Way, Day of Action mirrors our work all year, building stronger, more equitable communities where everyone can thrive.

Here’s how you can make a difference!

Invest your time

Volunteer on this special day to make your mark on Northeast Florida and show your community spirit and passion for change. To find various opportunities to connect your passions to purpose, visit our volunteer page.

Invest your dollars

Can’t find a convenient time to volunteer? You can support the work of United Way and its partners by donating. Every $100 raised can provide 20 people access to critical basic needs such as sustainable housing, social safety net systems, gender equality and the fight to end hunger. Give to United Way of Northeast Florida today!
