Tax Program Manager

The Tax Program Manager will ensure successful and effective management of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and MyFree Taxes initiatives throughout Northeast Florida including cross-collaboration and communication throughout UWNEFL, ongoing communication with grantors and other key stakeholders including the IRS SPEC Relationship Manager, and the planning, and evaluation of strategies for volunteer recruitment, retention, and training. The Manager will represent UWNEFL at local, state, and national conferences and meetings and ensure that UWNEFL’s agenda and investments are integrated, leveraged and aligned with the many facets of financial stability work throughout Northeast Florida.

Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

The Coordinator position is responsible for the recruitment and management of volunteers and sites for United Way’s ReadingPals, an early literacy volunteer initiative. Strong emphasis is placed on the ability to develop a recruitment and management plan that results in volunteers serving children at Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten sites in Nassau and Duval counties.

We offer competitive health, vision and dental plans to staff and their families. Employees receive up to 30 hours of paid time off per calendar year to volunteer at a 501 (c) 3. New employees can earn up to 10 vacation days and 10 paid holidays within their first year of employment. Depending on the needs of the organization, employees may leave at noon on Fridays, June to Aug. United Way provides comprehensive short- and long-term disability to eligible full time staff at no additional cost. Employees also have the option for voluntary health coverages.
