Tour of Thanks: United Way recognizes companies for community engagement

June 23, 2016

Throughout June, United Way of Northeast Florida will celebrate the success of outstanding 2015 workplace campaigns during our annual “Tour of Thanks.”

In this installment, we’d like to congratulate companies with a high-level of community engagement. The Community Engagement Award recognizes companies and organizations that have demonstrated excellence in volunteering and community engagement with United Way of Northeast Florida and is based on calendar year participation.

Congratulations are in order to the following companies:

To qualify for the Community Engagement Award, companies must meet two of four requirements: organize Days of Caring, which are multiple simultaneous volunteer events or a series of volunteer activities completed during a specific amount of time, partner regularly with United Way to recruit volunteers, participate in employee engagement activities throughout the year, and have a significant number of employees contribute direct service volunteer time.

Upcoming features in the “Tour of Thanks” blog series include New Campaign of the Year and Small Business of the Year. Check out the other installments in this series to find out which companies are being celebrated for their exemplary leadership and commitment to Northeast Florida: Million Dollar Circle Companies, Summit Award recipients, Employee Campaign Chairs of the Year.
