Three ways to make a difference this holiday season

November 1, 2018

The most wonderful time of year is quickly approaching and now’s the best time to think about meaningful ways you can give back. While most people may look forward to winter holidays, many families and individuals lack the means to provide an adequate meal or gifts for their loved ones. You can spread holiday cheer by participating in United Way holiday giving opportunities:

  • Food and gift drives

Support students and families in our Full Service Schools network by donating Thanksgivings meals and holiday gifts. Families accepted into our “Adopt-a-Family” initiative are experiencing extraordinary hardships due to job loss, illness, natural disasters or other circumstances. Without the generosity of Northeast Florida residents and companies, many families would go without. You can bring joy and cheer to those in need by hosting a food or gift drive.

  • Chip in for Youth

Tickets to THE PLAYERS Championship are the gifts that keep on giving! For every $55 ticket purchased, THE PLAYERS Championship will donate $30 to United Way. You’ll even enjoy cooler weather thanks to the earlier event date, March 14–17, 2019. Simply enter the code UNITEDWAY as you complete your purchase. Tickets are available through March 1, 2019.
