This is my fourth week working with United Way of Northeast Florida. I can truly say that this experience doesn’t feel like an internship, but more like being a part of another family. United Way workers are so accepting and full of life, and are well-rounded people to work with. This by far has been the best internship I have had. Not only have I learned multiple working skills, such as meeting deadlines and being organized, I have made great relationships with fellow interns and United Way employees.

United Way of Northeast Florida has an annual Touchstone Event where they go out and have a day of entertainment and special recognitions. This year United Way employees went to Dave & Busters to have a fun day of Family Feud and more games. At this event they invited the interns from all departments to join the fun. Even though I and others are interns, United Way didn’t have to invite us to Dave & Busters but they did anyway. This is what I mean when I refer to United Way as an accepting, well-rounded and full of life Big Happy Family.
