Throughout June, United Way of Northeast Florida will celebrate the success of outstanding 2015 workplace campaigns during our annual “Tour of Thanks.” To start, we would like to congratulate the Million Dollar Circle companies whose long-standing support has resulted in achieving and exceeding $1 million in annual workplace giving:
Florida Blue continues as our lead corporate campaign raising more than $2 million through exceptional leadership, a focus on Tocqueville and Leadership Giving, and a high level of volunteer service.
Publix ramped up its already exceptional campaign with several new events this year, including a women’s event for Leadership Giving. Publix associates give more than 98 percent directly to the Community Impact Fund and have been recognized by United Way Worldwide as a Corporate Champion of Change.
The force was certainly with the Baptist Health team in its 2015 “Star Wars”- themed campaign. The company once again hosted Leadership events and “Days of Caring” volunteer projects at every Baptist site and its success included exceeding its 2014 campaign total by raising more than $1.1 million.
Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., formerly known as Vistakon, is our longest-standing Million Dollar Circle member. Its team members are proud supporters of the Community Impact Fund and the company demonstrates its commitment through a dollar-to-dollar corporate match.
We are grateful for the incredible leadership from CSX and its continued investments throughout the community. We are also grateful for its long-standing commitment through Board leadership, investments to support education in our community and its significant presence in the Tocqueville Society.
Wells Fargo continued its community commitment well beyond its strong workplace campaign. Its partnership once again included investments in RealSense Prosperity Place — a multi-year more than $300,000 commitment — and as the lead sponsor for MLK Day of Service where this year more than 500 team members volunteered a total of 1,000 hours. Additionally, Wells Fargo subsidized rent at our former office in Riverplace Tower.
Million Dollar Circle companies are the first of many recognized in the “Tour of Thanks” blog series. To learn more about United Way of Northeast Florida’s workplace campaigns, visit its webpage.
