Mission United is designed to coordinate existing services and provide additional resources to make it easier for veterans, active duty service members and their families to get the help they need when they need it.
One in four in Northeast Florida is a veteran, active duty service member or family of either. Mission United, a veteran-led United Way of Northeast Florida initiative, will help military veterans and their families acclimate back to civilian life by affording them the services and support they need. Operated through United Way 211, Mission United in Northeast Florida will provide navigation and care coordination at no charge to active duty military, veterans and their families. Mission United not only extends United Way’s current work serving the veteran and military population, it strengthens and expands these services by ensuring high efficiency and quality.
