2-1-1 is the easy to remember, three-digit telephone number that connects Northeast Florida callers to health, social and human services and more than 4,000 community programs. This community help resource is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides information to callers in Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau, Baker, Putnam, Columbia, Suwannee and Hamilton counties. 2-1-1 staff will be equipped with shelter information and more, as information is available. To contact a 2-1-1 call center specialist, dial 2-1-1 or 1-904-632-0600 from any land line or cell phone.

Substantial Damage: If a building is in a floodplain and is substantially damaged (50 percent or more of the building value), it MUST be brought into compliance with local floodplain management regulations. All property owners should check with local building officials to determine if permits for repair are required BEFORE beginning work. There can be serious consequences for not complying with the permitting process.
