Purpose of Position: The Digital Marketing Manager will lead the organization’s digital transformation through the development and execution of effective digital strategies to grow revenue, increase brand understanding and foster engagement with current and prospective donors, volunteers, partners and the community.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be a strategic thinker, stay current on industry trends and best practices, and has experience planning, implementing, optimizing and analyzing digital strategies in-house or in an agency setting.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement digital strategies, specifically focused on increased donor acquisition, engagement and retention
- Oversee digital marketing campaigns from inception to completion, including audience identification, creative development and post-campaign reporting
- Analyze campaign costs, outcomes and alignment with strategic priorities to determine ROI and propose recommendations to improve performance
- Identify opportunities to innovate and integrate new tools and technology into the marketing mix.
- Develop and implement a digital communications plan to engage prospective donors, onboard newly acquired donors and steward existing donors
- Produce compelling content for all digital communications channels, including blog, website, newsletters and social media
- Conduct interviews and produce videos to support our work and showcase our impact on the community
- Work closely with internal departments and team members, as well as contributors from outside the organization, to develop a digital calendar for content creation and curation
- Attend events and produce digital assets to highlight the success of those events on our website and social media.
- Monitor and respond to comments, questions, and requests on social media; refers consumers to appropriate resources or teams for assistance.
- Actively seek out and help define new creative methods and mediums for telling our partner, donor, and volunteer engagement stories and story across all digital platforms
- Use data and analytics to track and monitor website, email and social media performance
- Regularly audit and update website to ensure content is timely and accurate
- Optimize digital content to ensure both search engine visibility and favorable user experiences
- Manage process to design web pages, email templates, social media posts and other digital marketing materials
- Other duties as assigned
Experience / Position Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of five years of digital marketing experience is preferred.
Functional:
- Experienced in Adobe CS6, Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with various content management systems and platform such as Drupal, and WordPress
- Experience with HTML and CSS
- Experience with email platforms, systems and applications like Constant Contact, Marketing Cloud, etc.
- Experience in managing online advertising campaigns such as Google AdWords
- Experience using Google Analytics and analyzing and presenting results
- Knowledgeable about creative requirements of social media and video platforms
- Self-motivated and a resourceful learner
- Ability to work in a collaborative setting on simultaneous projects
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines
- Experienced with online marketing and marketing concepts
- Have strong communication skills and collaborative work ethic
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
- Expert knowledge of web, social media and digital advertising analytics and reporting with the ability to communicate outcomes and insights to non-digital experts
- Ability to measure and produce regular digital and web reports to influence digital strategy
- Understanding of the various digital marketing platforms and best-practices for utilization
- Experience developing SEO and SEM strategies
- Experience developing and implementing customer or donor journey campaigns
- Combination of marketing and publishing mindset; always think “customer first”
- Flexibility adjusting to unexpected assignments, difficulties, and deadline
- Good organizational skills and an ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Applicants should be quick learners who enjoy staying up-to-date with digital marketing trends
- Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills and ability to interact with internal and external clients
