“I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits.”
— Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed through understanding, cooperating, and working together, we can build a better life for everyone within our communities; it is only through this cooperation and sharing we will achieve what Dr. King’s wife, Coretta, described as “a nation that has a place at the table for children of every race and room at the inn for every needy child.”
Friday, Jan. 19 to Saturday, Jan. 26, join United Way of Northeast Florida, 904ward, and Dreamweek Jax in honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. From service projects to community forums, we will ignite important cultural conversations and highlight the power of community service in building a stronger community for all.
Please note that we will be adding projects and events from our partners through January 9, so keep checking back!
