Funding Opportunities

About United Way’s Funding Process

United Way of Northeast Florida is interested in partnering with the most efficient, effective and innovative service providers in Duval, Nassau, Baker, Northern St. Johns and Clay counties. Any organization seeking United Way funding must demonstrate the ability to operate programs in a manner consistent with the highest standards of quality, which shall include compliance with United Way management and financial requirements.


Please be sure to read the official Notice of Funding Opportunity – Priority Goals document before you consider applying for prequalification. 



Required Documents For Prequalification

All agencies seeking United Way funding must submit:

  • Letter of Intent (LOI) on agency letterhead
  • Completion of the Prequalification Checklist
  • Agency financials as identified in the Prequalification Checklist

By signing and submitting the LOI and supporting requirements, the agency affirms all information in the Prequalification Checklist and agency financials is true and available for audit upon written request. Each agency that submits an LOI and supporting documents to United Way will be reviewed and notified as to their prequalification status.


Prequalification application closed Jan. 10, 2018.



After Submission

Agencies that do not meet initial review qualifications will be contacted by mail. Agencies that successfully meet pre-qualification standards will be contacted by email.  Notifications will be made on or around Feb. 9.


Agencies that meet prequalification standards will be contacted by United Way and might be required to schedule a site visit. The site visit will focus on a review of the agency operations, programs and financials conducted by United Way’s Community Impact volunteers and staff.
